  • Elected as a School Board Member for the School District of Waukesha (2018-2021)  
    -Elected Board Clerk (2019 - 2021)
    -Served on Finance and Fac    ilities, Government Relations, Policy, and Technology (Chair) Committees
    -Representative to Southeastern Wisconsin School Alliance
    -Board Liaison to the Waukesha Education Foundation, Inc. Board of Directors
     

  • Earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Education & Special Education 
    from UW-Whitewater in August, 1976​
     

  • Taught Business Education and Special Education
    -at Waukesha North High School from 1976-2014     and for eAchieve online middle and high school
    -Advised Future Business Leaders of America (with numerous students competing at State & Nationals)

  • Has Lived in the Village of Waukesha for 40 years and raised two daughters:

    -2002 North Graduate and a 2004 West Graduate
    -Grandparent of 3 Future West Graduates
     

  • "Lifetime Excellence in Education Award" - 2021 Recipient (Waukesha Education Foundation)
     

  • Supporter of Excellent Schools through the Waukesha Education Foundation since 2013
    -Board Secretary: 2016-17 and School Board Liaison to the WEF Board of Directors (2018-2021) 
    -Committee Chair: Celebrating Excellence in School District of Waukesha by recognizing the innovations of the WEF Grant Recipients and WEF Community and Corporate Partner Awards 
    -Sponsor of the "Aspiring Educator Award" & "Outstanding Business Student" Scholarships

  • Volunteer in the School District of Waukesha since retirement
    at Hadfield, Hillcrest, Hawthorne, Banting, and Whittier Elementary Schools, Les Paul and Horning Middle Schools, North High School, and the Waukesha Transition Academy (18-21 year old program).
     

  • Community Partnerships through St. Luke's Lutheran Church
    Hadfield/Whittier Partnership:     Thrivent Action Team to support Blessings in a Backpack and weekly food distribution. Service Trips to New Orleans (2015), the Appalachians (2016), Baton Rouge (2017), and Houston (2017), North Carolina (2019), Florida (2020). 
    Partnership with the Meru Diocese in Tanzania: Organizing support for student tuition and economic development activities 
     

  • Volunteer through ERAs Senior Network (2014-present) 
    -School Volunteering: Folk Fair, Pen Pal and Readers' Cafe and classroom volunteering, and more...
     

  • Volunteer for Blessings in a Backpack
    -Hadfield Coordinator & Marketing Committee
     

  • Volunteer Plowshare Fair Trade Marketplace and Education for Peace Center
    -Board Member (2014-present), Board Secretary     (2021-present), and Speakers Bureau (2016-present)
    -Representative on: Waukesha Downtown Business Association, Marketplace Committee, Online Shopping Committee, Peacebuilder Award Committee
